a. Google Chromecast. The Chrome browser to TV sucks: too slow. BUT, the apps work. YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, etc: they work, and the speed is good. $35 is a no brainer. When someone makes a real streaming video app, then this will be a blow-out success.
b. Nexus 4. Cheap, contract-free. Let's see $150/month for Verizon, $100/month for AT&T, $50 for Net10. There is a 2.5Gig data limit. If you run into the limit, you buy another one for that month, and then throw it away. I would put it this way: if I had to do it again, I would in a heartbeat. That good.
